This week, we received news that means a great deal to me and to our entire team.

Vineyard Dental Spa was voted Best Dentist in the 2026 Napa Valley’s Finest awards published by the Napa Valley Register.

After more than 30 years of caring for patients in Napa Valley, recognition from the community we serve feels especially meaningful. Awards are appreciated, but this one is different because it reflects the experiences and opinions of the people who have trusted us with their care. To everyone who took the time to vote for Vineyard Dental Spa, thank you.

What Being Voted Best Dentist in Napa Means to Me

When people search for the best dentist in Napa, they may begin by looking at websites, reviews, technology, services, or office photographs. All of those things can be helpful, but I believe the qualities that ultimately matter are more personal. Patients want to feel heard. They want their concerns taken seriously. They want treatment explained clearly, without feeling rushed or pressured. They want to know that the recommendations they receive are thoughtful and appropriate for their health. I have never believed that good dentistry should be measured by how much treatment can be completed. It should be measured by whether the patient understands the care, feels comfortable with the plan, and knows that the recommendation is being made for the right reasons. That philosophy has guided Vineyard Dental Spa for many years.

Trust Is Built Over Time

Dental care is a long term relationship. Patients often come to us after postponing treatment, feeling anxious about dental visits, or having had an experience elsewhere that left them uncertain. Some are looking for routine preventive care. Others are considering Invisalign, porcelain veneers, dental implants, or a more involved smile transformation.

Regardless of the reason for the visit, trust must come first. That means listening before recommending treatment. It means showing patients what we see and explaining why something may or may not need attention. It also means respecting a patient’s choice to move forward, ask more questions, or wait.

The goal is not simply to complete a procedure. The goal is to help each person feel informed and confident about the decisions affecting their health.

A Dental Experience Designed to Feel More Comfortable

Vineyard Dental Spa was intentionally created to feel different from a traditional dental office. The environment is calm and welcoming, but comfort is about more than the appearance of the space. It is also created through communication, thoughtful pacing, and reducing unnecessary uncertainty.

Technology plays an important role in that experience. Digital scanning can replace uncomfortable traditional impressions. Same day crown technology can reduce the need for temporary restorations and repeat appointments. Dental photography and imaging help patients see and understand what we are discussing.

For cosmetic dentistry, smile design planning can allow patients to preview possible changes before treatment begins. That gives them an opportunity to ask questions, express preferences, and participate in the design of their own smile. Technology is valuable when it makes care clearer, easier, and more comfortable. The best response we can hear from a patient is often a very simple one: “That was easier than I expected.”

Cosmetic Dentistry Should Still Look Like You

Cosmetic dentistry has changed considerably during my career. There was a time when cosmetic treatment was frequently associated with very white, highly uniform teeth. Today, more patients are asking for something more natural. They want a healthier and brighter smile, but they do not want it to look artificial. They want treatment that complements their face, age, personality, and natural features.

Our approach focuses on careful planning, balanced proportions, natural translucency, healthy gums, and preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible. Sometimes the right plan includes Invisalign before cosmetic treatment. Sometimes it may involve conservative bonding, whitening, or porcelain veneers. In other cases, the best recommendation is to leave healthy teeth alone.

Good cosmetic dentistry should not call attention to the dental work. It should help the person look healthy, rested, and confident while still looking like themselves.

This Recognition Belongs to Our Entire Team

Although the award category is Best Dentist, this recognition belongs to every person at Vineyard Dental Spa. I am fortunate to practice alongside Dr. Joshua Seeberger and Dr. Jessica Ma, who share a commitment to clear communication, thoughtful care, and making patients feel supported. It also belongs to our hygienists, dental assistants, front office team, laboratory partners, and everyone who contributes to the patient experience.

A dental office cannot earn long term trust through the work of one person. It takes a team that cares about the details, follows through, and treats every patient with respect.

What the Award Does and Does Not Mean

Being voted Best Dentist in the 2026 Napa Valley’s Finest awards is an honor. It does not mean that we stop listening, improving, or examining how we can make the experience better. Recognition creates responsibility. Patients should continue to expect honest recommendations, careful treatment planning, natural results, modern technology used for a purpose, and an environment where they are never made to feel rushed or judged.

Those expectations are the standard we intend to keep meeting.

Thank You, Napa Valley

Napa Valley has been my professional home for more than three decades. I have had the privilege of caring for generations of families and watching longtime patients bring their children and grandchildren to our office. That history makes this award particularly meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who voted for Vineyard Dental Spa as Best Dentist. Thank you to our patients for your trust, your referrals, your feedback, and the relationships we have developed over the years. We are grateful to be part of this community, and we look forward to continuing to care for Napa Valley with the same attention, honesty, and personal approach that brought us here.
